Now that I have new chickens I've been trying to figure out where I am going to go with them, so I've been doing some thinking and after asking my mom what she thought about my ideal? I have picked out my new coop and run location. What do you think BYC? Is this a nice spot?
I would tie the run into the existing fence and run it from the three trees in triangle formation.
The coop would be beside the large oak below.

I plan on putting the house here up under the tree. There is the existing fence here which I plan on tieing into.
My dad will have to clear out the area some for me. But all in all I really like the spot and think my faverolles would too. It would place them in the security of our backyard and close to the house which is where I would feel easiest about them as far as predators are concerned.
This is a picture I found on the internet of the coop design I think I am going to go with this time. What do you think?

I just love the little window, but to me it needs a little flower box.
My mom has an old metal nest box just like the one shown inside the house
so I wouldn't need my dad to build a nest box for this coop which would save materials and money.
