im concerned why my 5 week old black chicks are the same size as my 8 week old chicks.

the light colored ones seem to stop growing.

are they some sort of tiny breed or something?

what do ya'll think they are?
keep in mind, they are 8 weeks old and very small.

The white ones are Old English Game bantams and yes, they are a very small breed. They are Red Pyle colored and it looks like you have 1 rooster and 1 hen. Does that help you? In other words, you could easly have a 4 weeks old Orpington be alot bigger than an 8 week old Old English.

well that makes sense.

compared to my friends 7 week old BO's
my birds are about half the size.

i thought maybe i was feeding them wrong or something.

so if they are OEGB's

what are they good for?

Well, they're great foragers. You can show them or just have them as pets. They can be real sweeties. And they're very smart. I had 1 that would coo to me if I said her name.
