I wouldn't. Anyone can market snake oil stuff like this and make a buck off people who don't know any better.

Feed your birds a quality diet, provide fresh, clean water, a safe place to forage, lay eggs and sleep. Nature will take care of the immune system by exposure to their surroundings. I recommend free ranging, too.
Hello Buckeye Amy.
I have been clucking for almost 3mo now and have learned alot up to know. It's been somewhat stressful because I'm aways hearing about this and that. The things I see on BYC FB page is so grazy 😵‍💫🐓🐔stuff. I hope and pray my girls never have to go through some of the things I see on there.
I have been trying to keep up with there water, the temperatures, feed 17%, soft shell issues and production, treats, clean coop and run.
There in good shape. 20250619_093846.jpg 20250518_162035.jpg 20250518_162110.jpg

Yes, it can be overwhelming when you're just starting out. And ads like those just feed on our need to provide well for our birds, so the pressure to buy is pretty strong. I see a lot of shady sellers on Instagram, always claiming they have some great product that will solve all the issues you might be having. Just know that stuff like that really isn't necessary. You sound like you're on the right track!

Never. The supplements industry is big for both humans and animals, and its goal is to make money. Healthy chickens don't need anything added to their complete formula poultry feed and clean water. And sick chickens need to be diagnosed first (by a more experienced keeper or a vet) before anything is given to them for treatment. Birds are very sensitive to chemicals and vitamin imbalances, so it's easy to do more harm than good by giving them supplements.
