Immune Health

I've read on this site in various places that people provide probiotics and electrolytes during times of extreme heat or stress. We have done the same on a periodic basis, never more than a day or two at most. Rather than relying on FB or general amazon searches, you might consider purchasing products from a reputable bird supplier such as Jedds.com

For accurate information, I like to do searches on .edu or .gov sites (depending upon the topic.)

I searched on < poultry electrolytes in heat site:.edu > and found this from the Minnesota Extension service. Thorough and based on peer-reviewed studies. It lists what ingredients you should look for:

https://extension.umn.edu/poultry-care-and-management/preventing-heat-stress-poultry

Be sure to have at least one source of clean plain water as an alternative to the electrolytes. Only give electrolytes for three straight days before a break.

Good suggestion and thank you for this link.
