They think you are their mother and they cry when they can not see you as a survival mechanism. I had two like that earlier this year. Fortunately I was working from home, so I put their cage where they could see me while I was working. They will grow out of it! Try covering their cage/brooder with a sheet at night, seems to help. Mine are 9 weeks old now, out in the coop with the big girls, have integrated just fine. They will both fly into my lap when I sit out there for some pats and attention. Yours will end up being sweet and friendly pets if that is what you are aiming for.
I have done similar in with what I call hand-reared. It differs from brooder rearing where brooder chicks are imprinted only on each other while the hand-reared are imprinted on me and each other. Hand-reared is great if you want to train them do do a lot, but does not agree well with a normal daily schedule unless you are home schooling or otherwise always at home. I am raising 13 incubator hatched chicks now that hatched two days ago. We are interacting with those chicks minimally to prevent bonding. Chicks have each other which is enough. The upside of birds imprinted on you is they are less flighty around people if you ignore their efforts to follow you around.
