My mum is over, helping us get packed to move, and she notices there'skids in the back yard.... in the past we had a problems with the neighbour's 7 kids coming over and the youngest boy thinking it great fun to throw rocks at the chickens, but they put up a fence and that solved the problem... so when my mum says she sees kids in the backyard, I thought maybe he managed to pull back part of the fence or something (he's rather destructive) and get in, so I run out there and discovered....

20-some kids and 2 adult women, who just stare at me like, what am *I* doing there, in my own back yard. I realised they're from the Montessori school across the street.

I asked if there was a "problem" and one of them says, "Oh no, some of the kids just saw the turkeys from the playground and wanted to see them, so we thought we'd bring the whole class over. Well, we saw them, we'll be going now, Bye!"

W. T. F. ???

(I hate that I think of good things to say in situations about 10 minutes after the fact too.)

You'd think they would at least ask if it would be all right to go and see your birds??? I mean, really!

Exactly! If one of the adults came over and asked, I'd have welcomed the class over. I could have told them a bit about the birds and brought one of the gentle one around to be petted.

Instead, what did the kids learn from this?

They must have been teaching them to tresspass:) This does concern me though since my son just started school this year, to think the teachers would take the kids off school property without parental concent , and for them to not even let the students ask you questions it's just rude, they could have made it somewhat educational.

I'm surprised a teacher, let alone an adult, would think it'd be okay to trespass like that.
