In-House "Dust Bath"?

What does everyone use as a dustbath for in their house? I'm thinking about shredded paper or sand?

I don't know that they would use the paper. Dirt or sand should work. If you have access to wood ashes, they make a great dust bath addition.

I have house chickens, and they aren't too picky about what to "dust" bathe in. Mine like to bathe in on carpet or furniture.
