Hello everyone.
I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during this coronaviruis outbreak. I currently have a drake whom hurt his leg practically overnight so if anyone can please help. My Pekin drake was laying over on his side 3 days ago first thing in morning. He looked dead. Anyway, come to find out his leg is completely swelled up and he cannot move it or walk. He can stand up but uses his good side to put all his weight on. When getting up he uses his wing and beak to push off the floor. I have him in my home with me currently to keep a eye on him. I have been using oregeno oil in his water. What I would like to know is what does anyone think happend to him and how can I help him recover and get back to being a normal duck? He still is eating and drinking. He also weighs 11lbs and will be 1 year in April. Thanks

Does it feel warm to the touch? How does the bottom look? For my Pekins, I'll soak there leg in Epsom Saltwater for about 15-20 min every few days until the inflammation goes down, I also will give them about 1/8th of an 81mg baby aspirin. Limit his activity so he doesn't hurt it further. Proving some vitamins especially B3 would be good too.
