In need of a rooster for protection

Anybody in Central Texas have a rooster that don't need?? I am in need of one to watch over my girls. We had a hawk attack yesterday and I have seen some paw prints around the Hen Hotel. I am not too picky on breed.

Im in the metroplex (inbetween Dallas and Fort Worth). I have a friend who has new hampshire reds that would probably be willing to part with a roo or two, but that is still over four hours.

My thoughts too. Hopefully someone near you will chime in soon! I know craigslist is running a LOT of adds for roosters right now...I only check the metroplex area, but that doesnt stop people from posting there who live hours away...it may be worth a shot...there seems to be a good selection right now. There was even some guy getting out of chickens...he was getting rid of 50 for free...
