I received a free young pair of bantams from a friend of mine. However, we lost the hen and now the rooster is going crazy. He's becoming aggressive, and crows constantly in an attempt to call the missing hen back to him. He has tried to mount my standard-size hens, but he's way too small for that, and the standard rooster chases him away.
So I'm looking for bantam hens to get as soon as possible to calm him back down. I need at least one, but we're willing to get about 4 or 5 so he'll be very happy. It doesn't matter if they are purebred, cross-breed, show quality, or pet quality, as long as they are still of breeding age. We keep them as pets, although we do cook the eggs. But we are really just interested in keeping our rooster happy.
