In need of info on chickens laying

Hello! I bought 10 chickens about a week ago now. I have 2 males and 8 females. They all get along great! I have two females that are laying pretty consistently, but I am curious as to when the rest of them will lay? Also, I have noticed mating going on between the chicken that is laying and the rooster. But, she doesnt seem to set on her eggs but for maybe a total of 4 hours during the day. And at night, I have noticed other chickens setting on them. Do you think I should pull the eggs or wait it out to see if they will hatch?

What are the ages of the non laying chickens? Have they laid before? Sometimes new birds will stop laying until they are comfortable with their new environment. This is normal. The LONGEST I've had to wait when buying a laying hen was a month and a half. Then she began laying again like normal. I hope this helps. As for the eggs, it seems she would have to sit longer than 4 hours a day for them to hatch, but you can try and see. That's up to you. Hope this helps and best wishes to you and your flock.

I also have a question about laying. Our hens are between 3-5 months in age - RIR and Barred Rock. We got them a month ago. We had one egg a week ago, nothing since. Is this normal? No signs of egg eating...
