We have the coop built, with walk in broody/rooster closet, nest shelf, and poop decks. The run is chain link kennel panels and totals 320 sq feet. Budget didn't run to covered roof, but a strong hawk netting and cable supports will help--still waiting to get all that up.
A local man in our town wanted a bunch of "piddly" lumber gone from his shop, so I threw myself on that grenade, altruistic soul that I am. There was enough to create porches for the pop doors, six ladders and a ramp, and any number of other little projects--even framing for a Salad Bar. Score one for Piddly Lumber!
