I got a batch of 24 fertile quail eggs to attempt to hatch yesterday but I've noticed that two of them have small holes in. In both of them the membrane is not cracked. Is there a way to help them, or should I just leave them alone?
Thank you!

Can you cover the hole with melted wax or is it too large?
I can certainly try. My device doesn't take photos, so I'll tell you how big the hole is. The first one has a hole about the size of the tip of a felt tip pen, the second is about double that.

Oh my gosh I've just realised I had the incubator at 39.5c (103f) for a day and a night. I've turned it down, but will they be ok??? I'm so worried this is my first ever hatch.

Do you have a calibrated thermometer in there? Your best hope is that it wasn’t really that high, and was actually lower and reading high.

It's not digital, so I think it read correctly.
