Hi! I am pretty new to peacocks, I have 1 pair..my peahen laid eggs and was sitting on them until last night..she seems to have abandoned her nest..there are 6 eggs..I candles them at around day 10 .(Aug 15th) and they appeared to be fertile..so only 10 days later puts them around day 20...I put them in my incubator..I have incubated chicken eggs and know to increase the humidity a few days before and lockdown on day 18 with chicks.
My question is if uou don't know the exact day she started to sit on eggs do you just increase the humidity around day 25 ..guessing when that might be and hope for the best?

That would be a good approach, or you can candle and see if there is any internal pipping.
The problem I see is that they were abandoned for such a long time this late in the incubation. The first week, it is less of a problem.

Don't worry about increasing the humidity, normally 55% is quite high enough.

Thanks for your reply, it was for about a day the peahen wasnt on her eggs.....gathered them and put them in incubator...just don't know exactly how far they are along...one thing I forgot you have to turn the eggs 4-5 times first day ..they were only turned once so hope one day of not turning didn't effect them..I have a turner for my chicken eggs.....I hope they will still hatch.

With my incubators I have an auto-turn feature but I also flip them 180 degrees 2x a day which seems to greatly increase hatch rate.
