incubating/candling duck egg question

im very confused....i have 14 khaki campbell eggs in my incubator i put them in tuesday morning so this is day five i have candles them and im seeing a dark spot with lots of veins and a ring around every single one of them...now is this a blood ring? because a fee of the eggs i can clearly see the heart beating...everything im readig says a ring is bad but i cannot imagine that every single egg would be bad...esp since im seeing heart beats...any advice on this?

It sounds like it isn't if they look to be alive still. Usually when there is a blood ring you will only see a band of red around the inside of the egg and no other veins.

after finding an actual blood ring i know the difference now thirteen of the fourteen are looking really good and hearts are beating aas of yesterday i could see the eye developing in a few and today can see the eye in all of them. very cool. thank you for thw response
