Incubating eggs "by the signs" ?

Has anyone on BYC Forums incubated eggs by the signs as the Old Timers did everything, that is by the astrological signs of the Zodiac ?
If yes, how did hatch rate and overall health of birds compare to setting to hatch without regard to outside influences ? Thanks, Larry

I want to try that, but have not as yet...got too impatient and didn't want to wait for the day to come!

I know there are correct days for setting and hatching listed in the Old Farmer's Almanac, though.

I had no idea. I have heard of gardening by the signs, but not hatching by the signs.

Yeah today and tomorrow are setting days according to the Ladies Birthday Almanac so I've just put my first setting of the year this evening should have a brand new bunch here right at the end of the month just in time to bring in the month of March. Set 64 big ol' brown eggs from my laying flock. Now I'm starting to get my next group rounded up to start my March hatch here in about 3 weeks and then I'll set a 3rd setting somewhere at the end of Mar. or the first part of April and that'll prolly be it till maybe later on in the fall as it really gets too hot here in La. during the summer months to grow chicks out as they just don't eat right during the hotter days.
