We made a homemade incubator using a styrofoam cooler and a InkbirdITC-308 Digital Temperature Controller 2-Stage Outlet Thermostat Heating and Cooling Mode Carboy Homebrew Fermenter Greenhouse Terrarium 110V 10A 1100W
With a humidity reader and temperature reader in there. Eggs had been good on lock down but now in day 22 and nothing has happened? Any tips?
Temp 99-100 never above 101 or below 98 and it never stays high or low long due to the thermostat. Humidity is 53% I was told that 1 to 18 it should be 30 to 40 and 18 to 22 should be 50 to 60.
Thanks.

When/if you candled before lockdown how big were the air cells? Also were you seeing movement?

Did not see movement and air cells were rather large. Last day candled was day 18
It may be that although they looked okay inside the egg no movement would suggest that they weren’t alive on day 18 when you candled. Whenever I’ve candled on day 18 Ive always seen movement in eggs that. However this may be different for you.

Any tips for a beginner hatcher. I've got 2 more sets in another bater on day 9 and day 5. All seem growing

Ensuring air cells grow to an adequate size before lockdown is important. If you haven’t done already calibrate your thermometers and hygrometers so that you get accurate readings. Try not to stress too much I’m sure you’ll get some chicks if you keep trying, it’s a learning experience and you’ll get better at it. Were the eggs from your own flock or were they bought online and delivered via a postal service because this can affect hatch rates.
good luck and have fun!
