Incubating Mallard Eggs

Hey there! What works for me is (i learned from this forum)

55% Humidity
80% on wetbulb
99.5 degrees
Turn 3-4 times aday (if no auto turner)
Then lockdown day 25
Put humidity up to 75%

Some say to lower to 99 degrees at lockdown and 97 while they are hatching... I never did and they hatch fine

Good luck!

Edit: Thats for duck eggs, Not mallards soecificaly but should work the same

I have not hatched mallard eggs but I have hatched chicken, duck and quail eggs and I have never lowered the temperature for any of them.

Thanks so much i was getting worried they wouldnt hatch since I didn't know

No problemo! Keep us updated, And especialy when the babies hatch!

The critical thing is keeping realitive humidity, dont have to be super accurate, The point is so the aircell forms properly, and the membrane doesnt dry out during hatch

ive had big time trouble with humidity in the winter but they all hatched okay

Will do last time i had problems with the humidity where the ducks stuck to the egg and i didnt help it out the egg because i thought i might kill it but it later died since it was stuck

You might want to lower the humidity this time around.
Do you remember what you ran it at that time?
