I have been incubating my chicken eggs for 13 days now and am not sure about what is going on in there. One of the eggs looks like a day 6 egg inside and it has a big dark splotch inside of it with it. The others are fine, but when i first started, i first put them in an egg crate like the ones you buy from the store. They had the small end of the egg elevated higher than the bigger side of the egg. I read on this that you should have the bigger side elevated so the embryo can be near the airsac and won't drown when the chicks hatch. This scared me for i feel like a loving father already turning my eggs. Please help! What should i do!

Well, they are turned that way so the there isn't as much stress on the air sac, and I personally lay my eggs down in a natural position, on their sides. So if you are asking if the eggs being like that for a while will hurt them, the answer is no. Just turn them the correct way, or leave them in a natural position and most likely everything will be fine.
