Incubating runner eggs day 26 help!!

i have 5 eggs in the incubator. There is no humidity indicator on the incubator and no extra channel. What can I do to increase the humidity? Yesterday I did put 2 balls of damp kitchen towel in with the eggs but do you think this is enough? I am a first time incubator and really need advice for this last part! Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Increasing the surface area of water should higher the humidity. Spreading the wet paper towel/cloth/evaporation paper over a bigger area should help. Can you get a hygrometer? I have a cheap reptile one for my incubator that does not have a digital display.

I can’t get one in time really. I have laid a small damp towel next to the eggs as there is plenty of room so hopefully that will help. I did notice a duckling had started to pip today so fingers crossed. Thankyou for your advice
