I have a dozen Delaware hatching eggs coming in the mail either tomorrow or the next day. I'm sending positive thoughts into the cosmos that my wee eggs are going to arrive unscathed. I have a still air little giant. Thanks to a breeder I spoke to the humidity and temp is running rock solid. Advice she gave was this: Take marbles or small stones(I used glass rocks from the craft store) anything that will hold heat and fill the large outside well in the incubator with them. Sterilize in boiling water and dry first. This prevents erratic temp changes. It is working like a charm. Been holding steady for 72 hours so far. I have hygrometer and two thermometers to confirm. Well I'm very excited to get my eggs. Will let them settle for a day and night before placing them in the bator. Anyone else incubating this weekend?

! Great to have you here! Wow! What a serendipitous posting! I have the same incubator and have been looking at tips and tricks because I am so nervous to try it out! I would take sumi's advice and visit the thread she mentioned. I know I'm going to read up on it again and again when I order my eggs. Happy hatching and best of luck!

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan :D

As a matter of fact, I have 4 orders of shipped eggs coming this week and next. Why dont you start a thread in the Incubating and Hatching section, and get a group together? Let me know if you do.

I would also highly recommend the link Sumi posted.
