Hi y'all, I've dealt with chickens for many years, I've recently decided to add to this experience of artificial incubation with button quail. I have a healthy clutch developing nicely, the other day my spouse presented me with a fallen egg that came from a house finch nest kicked out by mama. It is not a house finch egg. I thought maybe a Starling but considering it was laid in a finches nest I suspect it's a cowbird. It was cleaned and put in my incubator last night. Wouldn' t normally do so but couldn't resist. I know it's not the norm but could anyone identify this? Thanks!

I’m thinking house finch. I know some birds are legal to hatch and keep, but not most. Don’t just say to let it die in the comments, every time something like this happens someone tells you to kill it. Don’t. Put it at regular chicken temp and turn it an odd amount of times daily.
