My daughter tried out our incubator for the first time, 9 eggs. 7 hatched but one didn't make it. looked like it's insides were on the outside. she was pretty upset about that but was happy with the 6 that made it and are two weeks old now and doing fine.

my question is she is incubating eggs again, we candled a couple last night and discovered one had hairline cracks in the shell.
should we take it out now or is there a chance it will be fine?

thanks for any input.

! Great to have you with us! I am a novice hatcher so I'm not the guy to ask. But the folks in the link below will be happy to lend you some advice. Good luck to you!

you can seal the cracks with wax and they can still hatch. But, watch for oozing or smells, if the egg starts going bad, you want to get it "safely*out of there. When they explode it's worse than a skunk.

* by safely -try to slip it in a plastic bag and close tightly so the contents don't get all over you
