My Cortunix eggs have been in for 12 days. Some of them I am getting a green clear glow through them. And some are dark and cant see through them. At 12 days They should be completely black right?? They are do to hatch in 5 days. So should i toss out the ones the candler light goes through?? I just had a 12 for 12 hatch last month, but I think by this time I checked them and they were black inside. Thanks Dave

If they are pretty clear compared to most of them then the best thing would to throw em out unless you see sufficient growth. If it's a little behind the others that are dark I think it'd be fine to leave em in there, they could be a day or two behind. But if it's a big gap difference I wouldn't be too sure they'd hatch. As for the darkness thing I'm not sure.

Hm... i think light goes through all means no developement. Green could be icky partly developed egg or just the light from shell color?? But if light is comin through i think thats a no-chick egg.

But i am a newbie still so hopefully experienced people come and give some better answers :)
12 for 12 first hatch sounds great though!

A 12 for 12 hatch that is great! In my personal experience, after day 9, fertile coturnix quail eggs are dark inside and clear ones are infertile. I hope this helps and good luck with your hatch!
