Incubation temp 184°!?

We made an incubator for 24 fertilized eggs we got yesterday. So they havent even been in the incubator 24 hrs
We have 2 settings on a 250watt lightbulb, last night before bed at around 1am the temp was going up and was at 90°f it was on the lowest setting, they had been incubating for about an hour and a half so i turned them also.
Woke up at 6:45, the temp was at 184°!?
The eggs on the side of the heatlamp were hot to the touch, the others were not. Now baring in mind i left the thermometer under the lamp, but there are eggs directly under the lamp so
Theres no where near by to buy an incubator hence we made one, i expect we need a less strong bulb and to add a fan
Will the eggs be okay still? Like i said it was within the first 12 hours and they have no sign of embryo or anything yet

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. The eggs are toast. Just a few hours above 104F is deadly but 184 is a deal breaker.
They will never show growth at this point.
For a DIY incubator, one should do lengthy testing before adding eggs to a container with a makeshift unregulated heat source,

Even if the other half of the incubator eggs were not super hot like those directly under?

So sorry about your eggs. A heat lamp is too directional, it will heat surfaces quicker than the air. Incubators are more consistent and provide needed moisture.
