Incubator and Room Temp

HI! We are hatching chicken eggs in our First grade classrooms. The heat is shut off every night at 5:00. One of the teachers wrapped a blanket around the base. I have never done this and it seems to be too warm on the outside. Has anyone had any experience with this? We have the Mini Brinsea Advance.

A lot of people wrap their incubators. Just don't block any vet holes needed for the electronics to stay cool.
