I am hatching my first ever eggs later this month. I had purchased a Kebonnixs 12 egg incubator, but don't have faith in it. I bought the hygrometer they suggested, and there is a 12% difference in the humidity and a 1.5* difference in temperature.

I plan on dry hatching BCM eggs, so I'd like to be as accurate as possible with this. Would you agree that this one can be sent back and I should try a different brand? I was looking at the Maticoopx or the Chickcozy. I get my eggs in two weeks, so I'd like to get this squared away.

(The recommended hygrometer is the black one. The blue one is one I had already, so I am trying to ignore the temperature on it, since the Kebonnixs manufacturer says to not use that type)

I have 2 Maticoopx incubators a 20 count and a 30 count. I have to say after trying several cheaper tabletop models from Amazon these are a dream to use. The best part . . . even if you lose the manual all the information you need is printed on the lid. Happy hatching :D

For years I used HHD 12 Egg incubator, it was reliable for the yearly hatch I did for almost 7 years. That said, I've heard that specific incubator hasn't been as reliable for others as it has been for me. But for a small hatch a year and for price it was perfect for me.

I retired it tho last year and got Sailnovo 56 Egg incubator and I'm in love with it. I do more than one hatch a year now and a lot at that so its perfect for my needs. I wanted something that did it all (humidity, turning, heat, lockdown, and all adjustable) it was more expensive than my old one but I haven't had any issues with it yet and have had 6 successful hatches so far!

My two may not be what you're looking for, they're not even the same brand, but I wouldn't use something I don't trust so I hope you're able to find an incubator that suits your needs and one you can trust to incubate your eggs! <3

I will only be hatching eggs every 3 years or so, so I don't want or need a large incubator. This one was recommended to me by someone, I'm just not sure I trust it much now. Even though both hygrometers show different readings, they're both too far off from the incubator reading.

I was looking at the Maticoopx 20, so I'm glad to see it recommended.

Umm, ok, if you say so . . . just kidding, but chicken math is real.
For sure, but I'm only supposed to have 6 hens. 🤣 I ordered 10, because I already have 10, and am hatching a dozen, aiming for at least two hens to put me at 12. Passing my original hens on to a friend.
