Incubator help

Hi everyone,
I am a real newbie here.
I have a couple of eggs incubating in a cheap Chinese incubator and the heat is certainly not consistent through the entire machine. I had 10 fertilised eggs and now only 4 are still alive. All of the dead ones are at one end of the machine which is super hot. The ones at the other end seem a lot cooler.
So I upgraded (not really - just bought a bigger machine). I bought another Chinese model by the looks of it - a LN2-56 incubator. I have set it all up and the temp and the humidity seem OK, but it doesn't turn the eggs although it is meant to be an automatic turner.
Both of these models were quite cheap.
So now I am looking for something reliable, that works.
I am in Australia, so has anyone got any suggestions for me on the best manufactured model?
Any help would be fantastic.

I had the same experience with cheap incubators. About 12 chicks from over 100 eggs over several hatches. I Ended up buying the brinsea Ovation 28 advance and given how much money i spent on hatching eggs only to fail it has been worth every cent. Hatch rates have been 90 - 100% every time with this one. I love it and wouldnt use anything else now.

I hatch out a few hundred chicks every year. If your turner isn't working you will have to hand turn the eggs. Still air incubators will have hotter spots and cooler spots so when I turn the eggs I also move them around. I don't know what incubators are available where you live. Ideal temperature is 37.5C with the humidity around 35%+/-. In the beginning of the incubation the eggs need to loose some moisture which can be seen as the air cells get larger. If you can please post some pictures. Good luck...
