Incubator Homemade DIY

Hello!
I thought it would be great to make my own incubator using a 60watt bulb but I am new to this homemade type of things so I have a few questions.., The bulb is currently about 4-5cm away from the eggs so is that going to be too hot? Also, I don'thave a thermometer so which length is best for the eggs to be under the 60watt bulb?

You will need a thermometer there are too many variables to say any one distance for correct temp.
