Incubator Information

Right here is the incubator I am considering a hovabator with the fan. Other than the actual incubator what do I need? An egg turner? Spare parts? Thanks.

Deffinately a turner! Really should not need parts if new. I used a wireless hygro/thermometer from lowes. You can get 1 for less than $20. I got the $24 one. You can use a wired 1. I just liked being able to take the read out to bed and to my chair infront of the tv. LOL How bout the brooder set up? you got that planned out? I added wadded up paper towels to mine to increase humidity. You can use sponges. I just didn't have any clean ones. How does the water get added? I used a syringe to add water through the vent holes. Used some small tubing on the syringe for the hard ones to reach. I also had to add small tubs to the bottom of the bator for humidity. I had alot of trouble getting humidity up! I was using a LG.. stay away from anything LG!!!!!!! even the 3 yes 3 thermometers made by LG were trash!!!!!! all 3 were wrong +/- 3. It is very addictive!!!!!! You've been warned. LOL
