Hi Everyone,
I'm a classroom hatcher and I have two sets of eggs in two incubators. Brahama's on Day 8 and Silkie's on Day 3. At some point between yesterday at 4 pm and today at noon there was a continued power loss to the incubators and the temperature dropped to about 60 degrees in both of them for a continued period of time (up to almost 24 hours possibly). I have rectified them now but i'm wondering if any of them will survive. I'm a little concerned about deformities because of the fact I'm hatching in the classroom and usually will not cull weak chicks but rather nurse them. I've read differing opinions on this...i candled this morning and the brahmas are still moving. The silkies are harder to see as it's so early on and eggs are more porous.
