I am thinking of trying to hatch some turkey eggs. Would the hovabator genesis with the goose egg turner do the trick or is there a better bator with turner at a similar or better price. All I have hatched before were chickens and that was very low tech and quite a few years ago. Also back east where low humidity was rarely a consideration as it appears to be in Southern California.

I have heard that the genisis is a good bator , for almost the same price you can get a brinsea thats on sale right now for 99 though you have to pay extra for shipping and turner , they are really awsome bators but they only hold like 20/24 chicken eggs compaired to the 40ish chicken eggs a genisis would hold

Brinsea ECO, better quality, durability, better warranty, better turning system either manual or automatic, comparable price to Genesis, less egg capacity than Genesis.

How many turkey eggs can the eco 20 hold?? What mail order source has it on sale?

I dont know but the turky egg I got befor in a surprise bag wasnt all that much bigger then my large chicken eggs so I would guess at least 14 if not 18

It's on sale from Brinsea.com direct to you. We just got ours 5 days ago. I ordered it on a Friday morning (with the auto turner) and it got here Wednesday morning UPS Ground... Depends on where you live in relationship to Florida.

Right now the website description for this unit is missing a photo, sooooo

here's ours with the lid off. You see we have 16 bantam cochin frizzle eggs in there. This thing is rock solid temp wise and with the auto turner it does all the work. Just get it setup, let it stablize for a couple hours and then put your eggs in. Mark the calendar and resist the urge to pop the top on it...

With the auto turner cradle delivered it was $180.00... I watched eBay auctions for used Brinsea 20s and they easily sell at 70% of their original retail price...

these i have heard are easy to hand turn the whole deal your self without the ato turner but i dont have one to say for shure
I can tell you after months of reading if i had the money this would be my ONE AND ONLY choice of small bator
