incubator temps

I just got a new incubator and am having a hard time getting it to the correct temp. I can get it to hold steady at 99.3 or 99.7. But try as I might I can't get it to 99.5. How accurate do i need to be?

If it's a forced air incubator, anywhere between 99 and 100 degrees is ideal. The question is how accurate is your thermometer ?

It's a digital thermometer . Is there anyway to test?
