I'm a first time incubator user and afraid I may have messed up bad! Wasn't planning to use the incubator but mom chicken abandoned some eggs, long story but they've been hatching two a day just like they were laid two a day
So I've been trying not to open the incubator so didn't open it all day today and when I finally did I realized the water wells were dry! How can I rehydrate the eggs or are they doomed now?
I had one pip early this morning and start unzipping shortly after but made no further progress all day so that's why I finally opened the incubator. I wet his shell and membrane and chipped away a little basically unzipping it for him and put it back in the incubator and about 10 minutes later he was out but now I see another struggling to pip and I'm wondering if they're all just too dry! Help!
Obviously I filled the wells eight away. I also put a couple wet cloths in hoping to increase the humidity but thinking I should take them out because the wet chick keeps going on them and he needa to dry out
Please help! I don't know weather to go to bed and let them be or stay up all night watching. I'm just afraid they got too dry today! !!!!!!!!!
Should I help that one pip? I was hearing him in the shell but don't hear it now.

Check on the one that has pipped in the Morning----rest good!!!

Yes you did mess up by allowing the broody nest to keep(not removing daily) the new eggs that were added daily. Whats Done is Done. Best Of Luck!
