What's your thoughts on this old beast?

Looks like an old beast of an incubator!

Does it work? Have auto tilting trays? I'd be in chicken heaven if we had an operation big enough to warrant that size of a unit. You can put out a ton of chicks from Feb to May with simple table top incubator and dedicated table top hatcher too. Constant stream of staggered hatches instead of couple hundred at a whack.

Yeah everything seems to work well and hold constant temperatures but it's a hand crank on the tilting part that operates pretty smooth.

I'd think you'd want to cobble on a motor for auto tilting unless you're retired and have the gumption to tilt many times a day. You can get away with 2 times a day tilting but hatch rate is better the more it's done.

I'll leave all that to the cabinet incubator people to chime in. Just a table top guy myself. Beautiful old incubator though.

The wife is use to hand turning about 75-100 eggs every 4 hours. So 1 twist of the knob for close to 500 eggs if necessary is an up grade. Haha
