I have a still air incubator. But I was wondering what the best incubator would be? Still air or auto turning? I have had a low hatch rate with my still air so should I get a auto turning or are there better incubators to get? I will be hatching eggs soon so I would appreciate any advice:)

Having had several incubators, I would definitely buy a model with automatic egg turner and fan circulated air. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on one, you can purchase one of the styrofoam incubators with chicken egg turning rack and fan for under $200.00. I have used them on a large number of occasions and always had a good hatching rate. Murray McMurray Hatchery has a nice full picture window model--see http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/full_view_picture_window_incubator.html If you don't mind spending more money, the Roll-X Incubator is a really great model--see http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/roll_x_incubator.html Hope this helps.

I'm a fan of Hova bator. I had a still air LG and didn't like the adjustment one bit. Cooked some eggs with it as it's too sensitive when turning the knob. If your not incubating at 101.5F at top of eggs in your still air that could be your problem and you may want to try another batch before investing more money. Or just dive in and upgrade.

You can find good deals on used models at eBay. Here is a picture window model like mine: http://www.ebay.com/itm/TURBO-FAN-H...747?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item233a30046b

Avoid shipping charges and purchase an auto turner from your local chain store like TSC. I finally purchased a turner about a month ago from TSC for $40 sale. All the brands of auto turners fit into the table top incubators so no worries purchasing an LG turner for a Hova bator like I did.
