Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I tried building a homemade incubator and never had any success with it, so I finally bought an inexpensive styrofoam incubator with an air circulating fan and an auto egg turner and had a good hatch rate from it. I know that some BYC members have built homemade incubators that worked reasonably well, so definitely check out the links that TwoCrows and Kelsie2290 have left you with.
