Hello a few months ago for the first time i decided to incubate and hatch my own eggs, only 1 out of 6 hatched. Being an amateur i was looking for Light Sussex eggs and somehow managed to purchase Indian Game (cornish) x Light Sussex Tabel bird eggs

We wanted to raise it in the backyard will this be possible? It's almost 8 weeks old on friday seems lean not flabby, very active can jump on top of the kitchen counter which is 3-4 feet high. My concern is will it somewhere along the next few weeks have a growth spurt and end up not being able to hold it's own weight?

Also i think it's a roo so might end up in the freezer anyway

Keep us update how it turn out. I have black orpington x light sussex cross. He is over 6lbs in 5months.

Might have something else in the family history as well, or a previous cross of sussex in the Cornish/Indian Game side of the family. Breeding a pure pea combed bird to a single combed, should produce all pea combed chicks.
