Hi everyone.
We are getting our first snow/sleet. I just checked our chicken coop and their run is wet. I winterized it. Wrapped the whole thing in plastic but left about 2 ft at the top open for ventilation but that’s what is letting snow/rain in. There’s a tarp over the roof as well.
Should I be worried about this? Do I need to wrap higher up? How much space do I need for ventilation.
Anything helps. This is my first winter with chickens so I’m not sure what to do.

Is there any way that you can extend your “roof” (the tarp) out beyond the walls of the run, to cut down on the precip coming in from the sides?

I staple black weed blocker on the upper part (comes in a roll)
It blocks the wind and rain but allows air exchange
