Indoor injured/disabled chicken cecal poop

Good ventilation and lots of pine shavings. Seems to help out with the smell a bit. This was when I had an injured silkie in my garage a few months ago due to a mating mishap with the rooster (torn neck/scalp).

What kind of injury/disability are we talking about on yours?

I need to know if a lower percentage amount of protein in their feed will make their cecal poop possibly slightly less smelly?

I wouldn't expect it to improve the smell at all. If anything, I would expect it to slow the healing process.

Is it possible to put your chicken outside at least temporarily? Getting a dog crate set up near your other chickens is a good opportunity for this chicken to poop outside and to get some social interaction.
