Infectious Laryngotracheitis thats what my chickens have got

I am so sorry to hear this. Did they even mention anything about the vaccine?

ILT spreads so easily. It can travel on birds, equipment, even a person that was in contact with an infected bird. It can take weeks for an infected bird to show symptoms.

Something like this scares me to death.

I don't know what I would do if the state said my birds had to be put down. They are all that kept me going through a few bad times.

they can be fine and u never know they have it, if they r carriers. once they r stressed, moved, environment changes, r around smoke, it starts to get cold out ect. once that immune system drops they start to shed the live virus and get sick and it usually hits hard and fast within days spread and is very contagous.

it only takes 1 bird to spread it and only giliforms. it can be airborne but not for long, it is more direct contact through fecese, saliva spreed. "ILT spreads so easily.
