After much research, we know that our turkey has this. He is in close contact with out chickens. From what I understand... There is no cure, some recover, but that they become carriers and it’s in your flock always. I also understand that the eggs are safe to eat. We had planned on processing our turkey this month.

I have not found any information on its effects on meat birds.

Any advice on this infection, how it relates to our chickens, our eggs, and if our turkey can be processed as is, or if we need to medicate him and if he can be eaten after that?? Or thoughts on putting him out of his misery.

I hate to even have to ask, but please be kind... we are new to this and trying to learn and grow. I have had several obnoxious and a little hateful replies from know-it-all’s.

Here is a picture, he looks much worse today than yesterday when we realized he wasn’t well.
Swollen sinuses, sneezing, watery/goopy eyes, trouble breathing, beak and snood do not look so great.
