Info on our chicks please

Hello chicken people i just got a chicken coop and my barred rock chickens yesterday and could'nt be more excited...my 3 children are very happy too...I was wondering when everyone got their chickens did they not lay eggs that following day cause they were just getting use to the new home?i have 4 hens and 1 rooster.the pre owners said they lay eggs already.i was'nt sure how long till they start laying eggs again.

Yes they will have an adjustment period usually

Thanks. I went to check on the chickens and there was 2 eggs so I am very happy.
