Hello,
Can anybody tell me how many Reeves chicks you can put together in a pen without having a problem and for how long they can be together.
They are currently housed together with my Red Golden Chicks that were born on Memorial Day. I have 2 of them that were born on Memorial day and the other 6 were born 2 weeks Later. I am planning on moving them outside since our rain looks like it is going to stop for a couple of days.
They are getting along fine with all the other chicks but I have heard that will change and I don't know if it's true or not but I would like to avoid a problem before it starts.
Can you also keep all your males together with no female. Also if you can will it create a problem keeping next to my golden females or will they still fight or do they fight only if females are in their pen?

Any info would be great.

I would get them away from your red goldens as reeves can be aggressive. The bigger the pen the better and give them lots of hiding places. As far as how many, that's a trial and error.Sometimes they all get along and others they don't get along, and all it takes is 1 bird trying to feels his oats and show all the others that this is his pen.
You can keep all males together as long as there are no females near them,so in a pen side by side will not work.
