info on training lgds?

I'm thinking about buying a 9 week old great Pyrenees, Anatolian shepherd, and maremmo mix puppy to guard my chickens that i plan to free range. We have many predators around here, including a regular fox visitor, a giant raccoon, and a a family of skunks that frequents our yard throughout the day and night. So far i have kept my birds locked up securely and listened carefully for any intruders, but I'm planning to expand my flock and free range them on our 5 acres. For this to be practical they really need something to guard them during the day at least, and then lock them in at night. I have a 8 month old son, and two cats. Will the dog be friendly to them? How do I go about training an Lgd to protect poultry? I want to learn as much as I can before I commit. Thanks y'all, the yeti hunter

My daughters Great Pyrenees/ husky grew up with 2 cats. She doesn't like other dogs but she lets the cats groom her ( lick her ears, nose and lie on her). She isn't around children.
