Information on Ascites thread.

Hello, I've had several experiences with ascites in my hens. I could be wrong but it seems like this is common problem for a lot of people. so, I'm starting this thread to compile as much information on the subject as possible.

I hope this will be helpful to any others who are going through this as well. so, If you have any experiences with ascites or things like it, please share! also, any pics or links to threads or articles would be great! basically any info or ideas are welcome.

Also, I just drained my hen today, this is what I got


Its straw colored on the top, but there is some blood in the bottom.
