Information on how to sex day old chicks wanted

I am brand new here.
I hatch out various breeds of ducks turkeys ect. I want to start a small time hatchery with maybe twenty breeds eventually. However I want to be able to sex day old chicks, because I plan to ship within the continental 48 states. I have read books and online about the subject . But have not been able to find any real information about it. Most articles just say wait until they are 6 weeks and then you can tell. I already can do that and want to learn how to sex day olds. Does any one know where they teach classes on that subject? I may have to try and find a chick sexer from a hatchery who will teach me how. I am in Braymer Missouri. We have a dairy so going far away is not very practical. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Good luck with that....tried and decided I am more the wait and see type of person. Dirty Jobs had a great show on it I have heard from many people. It was episode 7 not sure what season.

Watch this video. This is at McMurray hatchery, sexing newly hatched chicks. I think it's a pretty good description how to tell the difference.

I'll wish you luck with everyone else. It takes a trained eye to identify sex characteristics by vent sexing.

I would recommend breeding bird with sex link traits or just offer straight run, like most backyard breeders.

Get used to looking in chickens butts. A lot.

I have some books that show it, but we're not talking macrame or Tai Chi here. Not may classes for this stuff.

I tried looking in thier butts, but I was scared to stretch them THAT much. Yikes.
