I am seeking any kind of advice even if it mostly applies to chickens! One of my kits was injured by an older rabbit. Apparently my cage design has a flaw. Any advice I'm cleaning the wound now, would appreciate anything!

There are two injuries. One is just a small raw skin bite mark on the back. But the one I'm concerned about is this larger one the last picture shows the super glue worthy flap of skin. If I need to put her down that's always an option, but she's fighting, not in shock, and I think she'll be just fine if I can figure this out. It's not that bad there are no guts nothing internals coming out.

I've cleaned the wounds. I hope this shows the flap of skin. What should I do about it? Super glue? Leave it?

How long has the bunny been injured like this? Does it seem to be suffering?
I am not sure, wounds seemed fresh. She is not in shock and is adventuring. As long as she's fighting, I will do my best to help her, but I will watch her closely and have no qualms with putting her down if need be.

If you glue it leave a gap at each end unsealed so fluid can drain otherwise it is likely to fill with fluid and not be able to adhere to the flesh under. With human skin tears they reposition the flap with steri strips and apply an iodine dressing to help prevent infection and dry out the wound. I know you can't use steri strips on fur. Maybe a bit of glue would help keep it in place. It should be able to heal even without that so long as infection doesn't get in. Encourage food. Wounds take a lot of energy to heal. Hope this helps

Very helpful, thank you!

I wouldn't glue it, use 50/50 percent hydrogen peroxide and water dilution in a spray bottle. Spray the injured area wait a couple of minutes. If you see foaming that means the solution is killing any residual bacteria lingering. Spray once more than use a dry cloth or paper towel to blot the moisture. Than apply a layer of neosporin with a cotton swab. Don't use your fingers to apply.
