Injured baby chick!

My 9 day old barred rock was crushed by my nephew. I walked in the room too find him holding the baby chick very tightly and when he finally released it the chick was gasping for air and leaning on its side. I gave it some sugar water and electrolytes and it since has stood up but is very lethargic and droops it's head down. Also when I feel around it's breast area I can hear some kind of pop noise. It has been peeping on and off but she is starting to walk around more so it seems she's improving? Any ideas what the pop could be and what should I do next?

I would just keep it warm and comfortable and don't let the other chicks trample it. Let it calm down and then see if it will eat or drink. I don't know what the pop would have been

It's definitely not normal if I rub up and down it's breast it'll make several pop noises

I don't know. I hope the little one will be ok. Where does it pop? Maybe its keel bone broke or fractured or something

By its rib cage. Update she's been eating and mingling with the other chicks so I hope she will be ok.

It probably was in shock. Hope the baby chick is okay now.
