I have an almost week old baby duckling that I bought from tractor supply and it seems to have hurt either its leg or foot. I'm not sure if the leg is broke but it's foot is turned inward and has trouble standing and walking. I separated it and the three other ducks from the rest of the flock so it has more room to hopefully rest and heal. It still is acting normal eating, drinking and pooping. Is there anything else I could do for it? And how do I know if the leg is actually broke?

Can you post pics and/or a video of the duckling's leg and, ideally, gait? It would be helpful to BYCers looking to offer suggestions.

Offering a supplement like Poultry Nutri-Drench can help support injured poultry while they try to heal. Are you already supplementing niacin? This is important for waterfowl leg development.

You may also find this BYC thread helpful. Best wishes for your duckling's recovery!

Thanks for the reply, I bought duck pellets yesterday and started feeding it to them last night. Originally I was feeding the entire flock the same food. But now I have that and the duck pellets mixed together.
